Description
65 and 67 Pegwell Road is a pair of houses dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of flint, with red brick on the left return, and feature a plain tiled roof. Originally two separate structures, they are now covered by a continuous roof. The houses are two storeys tall with a basement and have brick quoins that indicate they were built separately. The hipped roof has a stack located to the centre right.
On the first floor, there are two sash windows, one of which has a segmental head, along with a wooden casement window. The ground floor features a boarded door with a leaded sidelight beneath a single eavesdrop on the left, and two three-light leaded windows with eavesdrops in the centre and to the right. There is a blocked segmental doorway to the centre left and a half-glazed door on the right return. The left return is made of red brick and has pilaster strips on the first floor. The basement has openings with exposed lintels on both the left and right sides.
