Description

Cecil Square Baptist Church was built around 1870 and is a two-storey structure made of stock brick with a stuccoed front elevation. It features a slate roof with a bracket cornice. The side elevation has six painted sash windows. The front elevation is highlighted by a central pedimented gable with two crockets at either end. There are five pointed lights with hood moulding and a castellated porch that includes three pointed lights with hood moulding, corbels, and buttresses. The entrance has pointed doorcases and steps that are adorned with curved cast iron balustrades. Cecil Square Baptist Church, along with the Sunday School and Nos 8 to 10, forms a group.
