Description

This is a late 18th-century building on the east side of Cecil Square. It is four storeys high with a basement. The upper floors are constructed of brown brick with red brick window dressings, while the ground floor is entirely red brick. A parapet and bracket cornice top the facade. There are four sash windows, with the two central windows arranged in a curved bow that extends through all four floors. The windows have brick heads and stone sills. A simple, round-headed doorcase with panelled reveals provides access to a six-panelled door. Buildings 24 and 25 form a group with numbers 2 and 4 on Hawley Street.
