Description

This barn, located about 50 metres north of the Church of St Nicholas, dates from the 16th or 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a base of flint and brick, and is weather boarded with a corrugated iron roof. The roof is half-hipped and includes two raking mid-streys. Inside, the barn has eight bays with high aisles and passing shores to the arcade posts. The roof structure consists of clasped purlins, with some later added diagonal struts.
