Description
This barn, located 150 meters north-west of All Saints Church, dates from the mid to late 17th century. It features five bays and two aisles, with two midstreys on both the north and south sides. The structure is timber-framed and weather-boarded, topped with a thatched roof that has half-hipped gables and midstreys. In the 20th century, it was converted for use as stabling, which includes boarded stable doors. The barn has two pairs of large doors with glazing above. Inside, there is simple arch-bracing in the arcades and to the main tie-beams, with rising braces from the aisle tie-beams up to the post heads. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins, and most of the main framing members remain intact.
