Description
Needham Hall is a house with a core dating from the late 15th century or early 16th century, featuring alterations from several periods. The building has two storeys and is constructed with timber framing and rendering. The central cross-wing, which is from the 16th century, has an upper floor that juts out on two brackets. The roofs are mainly covered with plain tiles, although there are some sections at the rear that are slated, and various chimneys made of red and gault brick. The windows are mostly 20th-century casements. There is a 20th-century single-storey lean-to porch with a glazed door. To the left, there is a 16th or 17th-century range that has been significantly altered, with the eaves line raised in the 19th century. A narrow 17th-century wing is located to the right, and another wing is situated at the centre rear. Additionally, there is a rainwater hopper-head at the rear that is dated 1798.
