Description

This is a pair of cottages dating to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The cottage on the left has a facade of red brick and flint, while the others are red brick, rendered and covered by an asbestos tiled roof. The cottages are single-storey with an attic. The roof has corbelled brick eaves, shaped gables, two raking dormers and stacks at each end. The windows are glazing bar sashes, and there is a half-glazed door to the left, a double half-glazed door in the centre with sidelights, and a boarded door in a glazed porch to the right. The left return (facing the road) features a flint plinth, a ground floor of flint with brick diapering, a dogtooth platband, and a first floor of brick with flint diapering, topped with a segmental shaped gable bearing a worn inscription plaque.
