Description
The Former Old Parish Hall is an early to mid 19th-century building located in Ranelagh Gardens, Broadstairs. Originally part of a pleasure garden in St Peter's, it later had a second storey added. The front elevation features two storeys clad in knapped flints, topped with a slate roof that has a parapet with stone coping. The dressings are made of rough flints, and there are six modern windows with original pointed head linings and rough flint surrounds. The building also has rough flint quoins and a stringcourse adorned with six inserted quatrefoil decorations. The ground floor includes six similar sash windows and a left side doorcase set within a pointed surround. The left side elevation is made of rough flints and has a modern staircase leading to the first floor. The right side elevation consists of knapped flints, featuring one first floor sash window, a blocked round-headed doorcase, and a modern doorcase on the right side. The building has group value with LoveJoy Cottage.
