Description

This is a 17th-century house that was significantly restored in the early 20th century. It is constructed of knapped flint with brick dressings. The front has red pantile roofing, while the returns and rear are of coursed pebble flint with brick detailing. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has three windows on the front elevation. The ground floor windows are three-light casements with glazing bars from the early 20th century, set in raised brick surrounds with soldier arch heads, which fill in earlier, flush brick surrounds. A central, early 20th-century addition extends from the ground floor, featuring a flat roof, a central three-light casement, and a shaped parapet. Four brick lozenges are positioned on the first floor. Other features include raised rusticated brick quoins, a first-floor platband, a brick eaves cornice with modillions, kneelers with pedestals and roundels, coped parapet gables, and two end stacks. The west gable has two fine windows and one attic window, while the east gable has the brick lozenges. The rear has 17th-century brick dressed window openings.
