Description

The Parish Church of St Peter the Apostle is a Grade II* listed building located on Church Street. The church features a Norman arcade in the nave, while the rest of the structure dates from the 14th to 15th centuries and was restored by Joseph Clarke between 1852 and 1859. It has a flint-faced exterior with stone quoins and buttresses, and includes double trefoliated windows. The north-west tower is squat and Perpendicular, made of flint and crenellated with stone quoins and gargoyles. The south porch is also in the Perpendicular style. The church has a five-bay Norman nave with north and south aisles, and includes a piscina, sedilia, and stoup.
