Description

Thaxted Cottage is a mid-19th century building located on Vicarage Street in Broadstairs. It is two storeys high with attics and features a flint-faced exterior complemented by buff brick dressings, which are now painted. The roof is tiled and includes one dormer window and three cambered sash windows. The entrance has a round-headed door surround with long and short quoins, topped by a semi-circular fanlight. The building has a plinth and a cast iron lamp attached to the left side of the house. Thaxted Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 6, which are consecutive.
