Description

Nos 1 and 2 Abbey Road are 18th century buildings that stand two storeys tall, with single storey lean-to annexes at either end. They feature a half-hipped tiled roof and a pebble dash front. The buildings have three window bays, with windows that are four panes wide set in reveals; however, the left-hand ground floor window in No 1 is missing its glazing bars. The doors are modern, but there are mid-19th century moulded stuccoed cornices on console brackets above them. Nos 1 and 2 are part of a group with Nos 50 to 52 Anchor Inn on Abbey Street.
