Description

Fighting Cocks Cottages, numbers 2 and 3, date from the 18th and 19th centuries. The ground floor of the west wall of number 2 incorporates part of a wall from the medieval Abbey of Faversham. The upper floor of number 2 is clad in tarred weatherboarding. Both cottages have a tiled gabled roof. Number 2 has four windows and two doors facing east, with two-light casement windows. Number 3 is a later 19th-century building with an upper floor of yellow brick and a slate roof, and features a single window bay. Number 2 is an architectural match to others in the area.
