Description

Nos 63 and 64 on Abbey Street are two cottages built into the lower gateway of the Abbey. The ground floor of the north and west walls is made of masonry from the Abbey itself. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, featuring two windows and two hipped dormers. The front is finished with stone rubble and brick, plastered on the ground floor, and has weather-boarding above. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, and the windows are casement style. These cottages, along with Nos 59 to 64 and a warehouse, form a group.
