Description
Nos 4 and 5 Queen Square are 18th century buildings that stand three storeys tall. They are rendered and topped with a new tile roof, featuring stacks at the gable ends. The front has three windows with stone lintels, wooden cases, and hung sashes that include glazing bars. On the first and ground floors, there are two two-storey canted bays with 19th century glazing. The centre of the first floor has two small round-headed windows. There are also two early 19th century doorcases of 'Bridlington' type, which have narrow pilasters and a grooved frieze adorned with paterae and a cornice. The soffits and reveals are panelled, leading to two doors with six fielded panels. The harbour elevation features a two-storey rectangular bay. Nos 4 to 6 Queen Square are part of a group.
