Description

Gillett's Granaries is a long range of granaries or storehouses that likely served as the Abbey granaries. The building features a timber-framed structure with red brick infilling, resting on a base of stone rubble. Most of the ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick, and the east side has areas patched with tarred weather-boarding. The roof is tiled and has two projecting hips above the left doors on the first floor, supported by brackets. There are eight doors on the ground floor, one of which is blocked, and five doors on the first floor. The first floor also has six windows, three of which are unglazed with wooden mullions, while two have wooden shutters, and one is covered over.
