Description
Heel Farm is a house dating to the late 16th century, which was later re-clad in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and now faced with painted brick, with a plain tiled roof. The house has an L-shaped plan. It stands on a plinth with a plat band and box eaves to a hipped roof with gablets and stacks to the rear right and left. The first floor has three sash windows and one blank window space in the centre right, while the ground floor has three segment-headed sash windows. A boarded door is located in the centre left, with a rectangular fanlight and a raking trellised hood. The interior retains considerable original detail, including moulded door surrounds with quirk and tongue, strap hinges, moulded beams and ceiling joists, and wainscotting.
