Description
Rushmere Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a plinth with pilaster strips flanking the central bay across the entire front. A brick cornice adorns the half hipped roof, which includes two hipped dormers and stacks that project at both ends. The first floor has five wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has four. The central entrance features a ribbed door with a flat hood supported by brackets. Inside, the foundations and cellars from an earlier building remain, and there are early 18th-century details present in the doorways, joists, and fire surrounds.
