Description

Chambers Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with cladding added in the 17th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame that is clad with painted brick in English bond on the ground floor, while the first floor has fish-scale tile hanging. The right side shows exposed and restored close-studding with plaster infill. The roof is plain tiled and the building has two storeys, with an end jetty on the right. The hipped roof includes gablets and stacks located at the left end and the rear right. There are two wooden casement windows on each floor; the ground floor windows have segmental heads, and there is rib and stud detailing to the right within a hipped porch.
