Description
Michael's Cottages is a row of cottages built in the mid-19th century. The ground floor is made of painted brick, while the upper part is timber framed and rendered, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys, featuring a continuous jetty and a hipped roof with chimneys on both the left and right sides.
On the first floor, there are four tripartite wooden casements with gabled heads that break the eaves, along with two central wooden casements. The ground floor has four segmental-headed wooden casements and four boarded doors. A central carriage archway with an elliptical head is supported by imposts. Above the archway, there is an inscription that reads: "St. Michael's Cottages." This site was previously occupied for several centuries by the old Vicarage and Tithe Barn.
