Description

Bessborough Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. It comprises two parallel ranges. The main two-storey and basement section stands on a plinth, featuring kneelered parapet gables and stacks positioned at the end to the right and projecting to the end to the left. The windows are regularly spaced, boasting glazing bar sashes: five on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all with gauged heads. A central six-panelled door, now half-glazed, is accentuated by a decorative surround featuring Doric columns, a frieze, a cornice hood, and a flight of four steps. A basement opening is visible to the left. A single-storey extension, containing one window, is attached to the right.
