Description
Eden House is a late 18th-century building located on the east side of High Street in Edenbridge. The house features a boarded elevation designed to imitate stone courses, concealing an older framed structure. It has a symmetrical two-storey facade with a parapet and a concealed gutter. The roof is covered with ridge tiles and includes end stacks and a central dormer with a lead roof. The entrance consists of a central panelled door with panelled reveals, fluted pilasters on either side, and a pedimented hood supported by brackets and dentil moulding. Flanking the entrance are two tripartite windows. On the first floor, there are three sash windows in exposed frames. To the left, there is a later early 19th-century addition made of painted brick, also two storeys high, with four sash windows, boxed eaves, and a gutter, topped with a ridge tile roof.
