Description

Oak Villa, also known as Ashcroft, is a pair of two-storey houses built in the second quarter of the 19th century, located on the east side of Mill Hill in Edenbridge. Each house features a central block with a single window and set-back entrance sections. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a decorative pattern of blue headers and have rendered quoins. They have low-pitched, near-pyramidal roofs covered with slate, and the eaves have a soffit. The sash windows are fitted with glazing bars and are set within moulded wood architraves, which include blind cases. The entrances are marked by four-panel doors located in trellis porches topped with swept lead roofs.
