Description

The Forge, incorporating the North Forge, is a building likely dating from the late 16th century, with additions from the 18th century. It has been converted into two dwellings. The older, left-hand portion is two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. It has a high-pitched tiled roof, hipped on the left side, featuring one dormer window and a central chimney stack. The facade displays visible timber framing with brick infill, and casement windows. Modern rear extensions have been added. The right-hand part of the building dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and features two storeys and a two-window front. It has a lower-pitched tiled roof, hipped at one end, with a tile-hung first floor and red brick ground floor. Sash windows are present.
