Description

Forge Cottage, with an attached forge building, was constructed in the mid-18th century. The house has two storeys and four windows above two windows. It is built of roughcast, brick, with a 20th-century tile roof. A modillion cornice runs along the eaves, and there's a band marking the first floor, along with a plinth. The forge section shows red brickwork. Upper windows are casements, and the lower windows are sash windows set in exposed frames. A 20th-century doorway is positioned in front of a large glazed porch. The forge has an old boarded door within a solid frame.
