Description

Oakdene is a 16th-century house located on Havant Road in Hayling Island. This narrow, timber-framed building features a thatched roof and has one storey with an attic. The roof is half-hipped and includes an eyebrow dormer. The exposed framing is complemented by infill made of stone rubble, plaster, and brickwork, with the lower walls at the north and south gables constructed of 20th-century brickwork. The house has casement windows and a boarded door that is topped with a gabled hood supported by brackets.
