Description
Kettleshill Farmhouse is a 16th-century house that consists of two sections. The front elevation features two storeys and two windows, topped by a high-pitched tiled roof. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is made of random rubble with red brick dressings. The windows are 19th-century one-bar casements, and there is a modern door sheltered by a pent hood. At the rear, there is a projecting wing, which is likely the oldest part of the house, displaying some timber framing. The back also features a projecting chimney stack with tall brick shafts. Inside, there is much exposed timber, including both beams and posts that are chamfered, as well as collar beams and side purlins in the roofs.
