Description

Rumshott Manor is a 16th-century house that has undergone 19th-century and modern additions and alterations. The front wing is two storeys high with an attic and features three windows. It has a tiled roof that is half hipped on the left and extends to the right to cover early 19th-century extensions. There is a central stack and two modern pent dormers. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor displays visible timber framing with brick filling. The windows are casement style, with one or two being 18th-century iron windows. The building has a galletted rubble plinth. The rear wing, which is at right angles to the front, exhibits very close studding that is plaster-filled and has a tall half-hipped tiled roof. The rear wing contains casement windows, some dating from the 19th century and others being modern.
