Description

Longford is a building dating from around 1820, located on the south side of Main Street in Penshurst. It is two storeys tall and constructed of painted brick, featuring projecting eaves and a hip roof covered with Welsh slate. The building has sash windows and includes a one-storey projection at the side, which has a modern Georgian-style replica doorway with a fanlight above. This projection also features a side casement window topped with an entablature and a segmental pediment. The side elevation is tile-hung. Longford is part of a group of buildings that includes Quaintways Tea Rooms, The Cottage, Colquhoun House, Kirkwood Garden Shop, and La Petite Hair Salon.
