Description

Chart's Edge Cottages are a pair of cottages with two distinct builds, likely dating from the 18th century for the front range and the 17th century for the back. Each cottage is two storeys high and features two windows on the front. They have a tiled roof with gabled ends and a brick chimney that runs through the structure. The walls are made of random rubble with red brick quoins and dressings. The cottages have modern casement windows and doors that are sheltered by small flat hoods. The rear section is probably timber framed, with tiles hung above and galleted random rubble below. The roof is hipped and tiled, with a central linking ridge connecting to the front range. Inside, there are some chamfered beams and joists, as well as an inglenook fireplace.
