Description
Chapel Alley Cottages, located on Darent Way in Shoreham, is a range of buildings that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with a facade and additions from the 18th century. A datestone indicates a construction date of 1753. The building's elevation features red brick with blue headers, and it incorporates flint rubble with red brick dressings and quoins on the left side. The first floor is tile hung on the left, and it has moulded eaves and a gutter. The roof is hip ridge tiled with a returned hipped end to the left. The cottages have various 18th and 19th century sash windows and casement windows, along with panelled doors. Some moulded beams are also visible inside.
