Description
The Rising Sun is an early 19th-century front attached to a much older house located on the north side of Church Street in Shoreham. It features a fairly high-pitched tiled roof with a long hip on the right side. The building has a painted brick elevation that stands two storeys tall, with projecting boarded eaves and a gutter. There are four sash windows with bars, and the entrance includes a glazed and panelled centre door. An inn sign bracket is located on the first floor. Rising Sun, along with Waterfall Cottage, Ivy Cottage, Riverside House, and Bridge Cottage, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
