Description

Waterhouse is an early 19th-century house with a symmetrical stucco facade, built over an older structure. It has a hip roof covered in Welsh slate, with two flat-roofed dormers featuring leaded windows. The front features a central panelled door, above which is a rectangular window. Flanking the door are square panelled pilasters, supporting a projecting moulded hood with foliate console brackets. There are two sash windows with closely spaced glazing bars on either side of the door, each with a stucco architrave surround and projecting sills. Five similar sash windows are on the first floor, with a bracketed cornice over the central window. A plaque commemorates that the artist Samuel Palmer stayed at the house between 1827 and 1835.
