Description
Henden Manor House is a moated farmhouse dating from the 16th century or earlier, which has undergone significant restoration. The main garden front features two storeys and an attic with three windows, topped by a high-pitched tiled roof that has plastered, coved eaves soffits. There are two modern gabled dormers and restored exposed timber framing with plaster filling. The windows are modern leaded casements with multiple lights.
The entrance front includes a 19th-century gable-ended right wing that is part brick and part tile hung, along with a modern extension that contains the entrance in the angle. Inside, the house boasts exposed beams and late 16th-century wainscoting in two rooms. Above the inglenook in the dining room, there are panels carved with initials and the date 1577. Additionally, there are two Tudor-style stone fireplaces, with the smaller one upstairs featuring carved spandrels.
