Description

South View is a timber-framed building, likely dating from the 16th century or earlier. It has a high-pitched hipped gabled tiled roof with old stacks at the ridge and rear, which have been rebuilt at the tops. The building is two storeys high and has an irregular facade with three windows. The first floor is rendered, while the ground floor is constructed of modern brick. The windows are 19th-century 1-bar casements, and the entrance has plank doors sheltered by small bracketed hoods. The roof slopes downwards at the rear. Internally, visible from the south elevation are a massive stone stack, and a substantial amount of exposed timber.
