Description

The Old Rectory is an early Victorian house built in Tudor style. The main front of the property is two storeys and an attic, with five windows, and features three short, recessed extensions to the right, the closest of which is two storeys high. The roof has a high pitch covered in large slates, with six hipped and gabled dormers, and one ridge stack and one end stack. The walls are of random rubble with freestone quoins and dressings around the doors and windows. The windows are mullioned, some with four-centred heads to the lights, set in chamfered surrounds and under hoodmoulds. A two-storey, battlemented square bay is set on the right. The entrance is marked by a two-centred arch with a hoodmould. The left return side features two gabled bays and a two-storey canted bay with ogee-headed lights.
