Description

Brasted House is an early 18th-century house of two storeys and three windows. It has a fairly high-pitched tiled roof with three leaded dormers and two end stacks. The front parapet is faced with mathematical tiles, dating from the 19th century. A projecting central porch is rendered, and there are two-storey canted bays on either side. The original windows are 18th-century sash windows with glazing bars. To the left is a two-storey, four-window extension; the two upper windows on the left are modern, while the rest of the extension dates from the late 18th century and is built of painted brick with sash windows and glazing bars, the later windows set under gauged brick arches. There are lengths of brick wall with a stone plinth on either side. Included in the listing are walls to the east, a west cottage, and a wall to the front and west.
