Description
Waystrode Manor is a restored 15th-century farmhouse with later 16th and 17th-century additions. The building features a waned structure with vertical half-timbering and plaster infilling. It has two storeys and an attic with a gable end window. The north elevation displays two end gables connected by a ridge tile roof in the center, along with brick Tudor stacks that have random stone at their base.
On the left side, there is an early 17th-century addition that has an oversailing attic gable end, complete with original ornamental bargeboards, pendants, and brackets, as well as a carved oak crosspiece. This section includes a projecting bay with mullioned and transomed windows on both the ground and first floors, and an attic casement above.
In the center, the manor has two storeys, a ridge tile roof, and a stack, along with a modern projecting tile porch. The entrance features a carved oak studded door with a four-centred arched headpiece. On the right side, there are two storeys with an oversailing first floor supported by exposed joists, and a gable end above that retains original Gothic bargeboards. Inside, there is much exposed timber and a stone inglenook.
