Description
Hurst Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber-framed, with the ground floor clad in red brick laid in Flemish bond, featuring occasional grey headers, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high on a flint plinth. The roof is hipped, with a gablet on the right side, and there is a brick ridge stack towards the left end. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of four 2-light casements from the 19th or 20th century. There is a half-glazed door located towards the right end, which is recessed and set in a broad reeded architrave. To the right, there is a short rear wing constructed with the same materials, also featuring a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
