Description

Nutshell is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with a facade that was modified in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is timber framed, and the front elevation features grey brick laid in header bond. The house has two storeys sitting on a flint plinth, with traces of a plain brick eaves cornice and a hipped roof. There is a central multiple brick ridge stack. The windows are regularly spaced and consist of two 20th-century two-light wood casements. The central entrance has a boarded door topped with a flat bracketed hood. At the rear, there is a lean-to structure divided into two sections, with an additional section added at right angles to the rear of the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
