Description
Ashurst Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It has a timber frame, with the ground floor constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond and the first floor featuring tile-hanging. The roof is covered with plain tiles and is hipped, with a slightly lower ridge towards the left end. There is a multiple brick stack located to the right of the center of the building. The farmhouse has two large gables, one at the right end and one to the left of the stack, both hung with plain and fishscale tiles and featuring moulded bargeboards. The windows are arranged irregularly, with three casements: a three-light window under each gable and a two-light window under the stack. There is no window in the left end bay on either floor. A ribbed door is located beneath the stack. The interior has not been inspected.
