ULCOMBE WINDMILL HILL TQ 84 SE (east side) 6/201 Poplar Tree Cottages II

Farmhouse, now cottages. C17 or earlier with later C19 facade. Timber framed. Front elevation clad with thick bands of plain and fishscale tiles. Right gable end weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Boxed wood eaves cornice. Roof half-hipped with gablets. Slender projecting brick stack to left gable end and ridge stack off-centre to right. Irregular fenestration of three 6-pane glazing-bar sashes. Recessed panelled door with architrave of plain pilasters, frieze and pediment, between left and central windows. Blocked doorway beneath stack. C20 glazed door to right gable end. Later 2-storey rear extensions to right and left. Interior not inspected.
