Description

Glassenbury Cottage is a farmhouse that was later converted into a pair of cottages and is now a house. It dates from the late 16th century and features a timber-framed structure with exposed tall studding, some curved braces, and plaster infill. There is also some brick infill on the ground floor. The roof is plain tiled, and there is a tall off-ridge stack at the front right, along with three gabled dormers. The building has two storeys and attics, with an irregular arrangement of windows—four on the first floor and four on the ground floor. The main entrance is located in a 20th-century addition at the left end, with glazed doors in the center and to the right of the front. Inside, a substantial timber frame is visible.
