Description

Street House and Street House Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses. It dates from the 17th century or earlier, with additions and alterations made in the mid-19th century. The main part of the building is timber framed, with the ground floor covered in painted brick and the first floor featuring alternating bands of plain and fishscale tiles. The 19th-century section is constructed from chequered red and grey brick and has banded tiles on the gable. The roofs are covered in plain tiles.

The main range likely follows a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high. It has a half-hipped roof on the right side and connects to the 19th-century range on the left. There is a central ridge stack and a gable end stack on the right. The windows are irregularly arranged, featuring two and three-light casements. A half-glazed door is located under a canopy at the right end of the front elevation. There is a short rear wing to the right of the center with a hipped roof, and a mid-19th-century wing that projects forward at the left end, also two storeys high with a half-hipped roof facing the street and two recessed glazing-bar sashes. Additionally, there is a further rear addition from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly known as Street Farmhouse.
