Description

Morry House is a farmhouse, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier, with alterations from the 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of painted brick in a Flemish bond pattern, while the first floor is rendered. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The house has two storeys and an attic, built on a stone plinth except for the right-hand side. A gable end stack sits on the left side, and there is a multiple brick ridge stack towards the right end. There are two small gabled dormers in the roof. The windows are irregular in arrangement, with four casement windows in total: two three-light windows to the left of the centre, and two two-light windows to the right. The ground floor has two windows with segmental heads to the right of the center. A panelled door is located under a flat, bracketed hood towards the centre of the building. A rear lean-to exists. A late 19th-century two-story addition extends to the right end of the front of the house, with a canted canopy over the corner where it joins the main range. A two-story tile-hung wing sits to the right end of the main range behind the 19th-century addition. The interior was not inspected. The building has group value.
