Description

The former stables, dating from the late 18th century, are located about 50 metres north-north-east of Hunton Court and feature a paved yard to the south. The stables are constructed from chequered red and grey brick and have a plain tile roof. The building is double depth and two storeys high, resting on a chamfered brick plinth. It has a dentilled brick eaves cornice and a hipped roof.

The front facade has a regular arrangement of five windows, consisting of four 2-light leaded casements with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs, and a central semi-circular recess also featuring rubbed brick voussoirs. There is a Diocletian window to the left end of the ground floor, and a recessed panelled door beneath the second window from the left, with a Diocletian window above it. A central blocked doorway has been infilled with a Diocletian window. To the right end, there are two garage doors, and the first floor features a central loading door along with two Diocletian windows on the right gable end. The rear door includes a Diocletian light.

The interior has not been inspected. The shared yard, which extends about 20 metres north-south and slightly further east-west, is paved with setts and includes four shallow drains that converge at the centre.
