Description
Frenches Farmhouse is a mid-to-late 18th century farmhouse located in Laddingford. The building features a ground floor made of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor is tile-hung. It has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall with attics. The farmhouse has a stone plinth with a brick top course and a moulded wooden eaves cornice with modillions. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and gabled on the right. There is a projecting red and grey brick gable end stack on the left and a flush red and grey brick gable end stack on the right. The front has two hipped two-light dormers and a regular arrangement of two windows, which are three-light casements. The ground floor also features similar three-light casements. The central door has six fielded panels and is topped with a flat corniced hood. There is a rear lean-to, but the interior has not been inspected.
