Description

Caring House is a house dating from the mid-16th century, with early 19th-century alterations. It is timber-framed and rendered, with the right gable being tile-hung. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features a crested ridge. The building has two storeys and a garret, with a lightly moulded continuous jetty and a moulded bracketed eaves cornice. There is a central brick ridge stack. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of seven sashes. A ribbed door is located at the right end, set within a broad moulded rectangular architrave from the 19th century or later, and is accessed by three steps. The door incorporates the date 1547. The interior has not been inspected.
