Description

Peacock Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century, with mid-19th century alterations. It features a timber-framed structure with thickly rendered brick casing and hipped slate roofs, which include a single ridge stack and a single gable stack. The building is two storeys high and has a six-bay front, with the two central bays deeply recessed. The central doorway is topped with a hood and features a 20th-century half-glazed door. There are two windows above and two windows on each storey of each cross wing, all of which are sashed with margin lights. The cross wing to the north is slightly smaller than the one to the south. A probable jetty extends across the front and down the south return at first floor level. The interior has not been inspected.
