Description
Meadow View is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It has two storeys and is positioned sideways to the road. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a pantiled roof that features ridge-tiles with ornamental cresting. The west gable has pierced and fluted barge-boards and a long narrow turned finial at the apex. An internal chimney-stack has three attached hexagonal shafts on a high square base. Along the north side, there is a one-and-a-half storey lean-to that contains the main entrance, which features a 6-panelled door and 3-light and 4-light 19th-century casement windows. The other windows are a mix of 19th-century and 20th-century styles. A bulge in the upper wall of the gable suggests that the walls have been raised to lower the roof pitch. Inside, the timber framing is exposed.
